Hello there, I’m Lydia!

I’m the brain — but mostly heart — behind Lydia Elise Creative. I help your business flourish through wholesome website design. I'm here to help your business flourish by building the website of your dreams.

I grew up in a creative and entrepreneurial environment which instilled in me a great admiration for design, creativity, and adventure. And taught me to constantly be thinking outside the box. 

Despite that upbringing, I pursued a traditional career as a registered nurse and worked as an RN for several years, including various high-intensity areas. But I was constantly wrestling with the feeling that something was missing. There had to be more for me.

Nursing, while deeply fulfilling in its own right, didn't provide the outlet for the type of creative expression that truly ignited my soul. I felt a longing for a different form of creativity.

I loved helping patients, comforting family members, thinking critically, constantly learning, and undertaking challenging situations, but there was more out there. I knew there was! I soon began to resent the 9-5 (which was more like 5am-5pm) and dread going to work. I needed more creativity, I wanted to do more, to help more, more, more, more! 

By society’s standards I was ‘living the dream’ but I was miserable inside. My soul was craving a life full of creativity, freedom, and adventure. I had to make a change. 

So here I am today, a self-taught web designer, using all of my strengths and leaning 110% into my entrepreneurial adventure. It has been an incredible blessing to utilize my Bachelor of Science in Nursing to educate and serve others through web design. This beautiful journey has been riddled with trials and errors, yet full of help and inspiration from so many people.
